Many people update software in Desktops and Laptops, ever updated mobile phone software??

Yes its possible with NOKIA,You can update your existing phone software using NOKIA DEVICE SOFTWARE UPDATE.

All you need to do is Install NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER, connect your phone to PC using a cable and start update.

There may be some bugs in existing phone software and NOKIA will be constantly trying to resolve issues(if any) in new releases,so its required to be up to date

Points to note:

Before you update, please confirm thatYou have backed up all data and content (contacts, photos and messages) in your handset memory
Your handset battery is fully charged
Your handset has a SIM card inserted, and the profile is set to “Normal”

During the update:

Do not disconnect your handset from your PC, or switch off your handset
You will not be able to use your handset even in emergency situations. (During the update, your handset will be restarted)

At least 256 MB of RAM (memory)
Windows XP , or Windows Vista
Administrator rights to install
